From Sacramento, CA:
Take I-80 east about 25 miles to Auburn. Take Hwy. 49 exit in
Auburn, and go north on Hwy. 49 toward Grass Valley/Nevada City.
Stay on Hwy. 49 for about 25 miles. In Grass Valley take Hwy.
20 exit toward Marysville. Continue on until Pleasant Valley
Road goes right (a light intersection). Drive down to the Yuba
River and back up the river canyon
and take the second left on to Rices Crossing Road (a gravel road with several mailboxes on the left).
From Reno, NV: Take I-80 west
to Hwy. 20, then Hwy. 20 west for about 30 minutes to Hwy. 49.
Turn right on Hwy. 49 toward Downieville and proceed down to
and up from Yuba River. Approximately 10 minutes from the river,
Pleasant Valley Road will appear on the left. You will see a
building with a sign: Peterson's Corner. Take Pleasant Valley
Road for 5 miles and turn right on Rice's Crossing Road. After
200 yards you will see the retreat gates on the left.
From the Northwest: Take
I-5 south to Williams, California then Hwy. 20 east towards
Grass Valley, take a left on Pleasant Valley Road and refer
to directions from Sacramento.
